I am also available over WhatsApp and Telegram for chats and video calls if you get stuck at any point or need to discuss steps. In my welcome email, you will receive the number you can use to contact me. I am available weekdays after 1pm and do my best to respond as quickly as possible. Please don't hesitate to make use of this personal connection, as it makes it so easy to help you with fitting issues or any questions you have that aren't answered in my written lessons or videos.

INSPIRATION: You may be taking this class because you love reading Jane Austen's novels (or watching some of the wonderful film adaptations. Or perhaps you just love the Regency/Empire Era in general and that flattering empire silhouette. Or maybe you're just a costume nut who likes to try out different eras to gain an understanding of construction techniques and fashion trends. Whatever the case may be, I hope my class will inspire you to take a trip back in time to the 1790s through the early 1820s, when women cast off the rigid stays of the Rococo period and opted for the simplicity of flowing neo-Grecian lines and silhouettes. Making a Regency gown is not very complicated unless you are brand new to sewing. But even if that is the case, I'm going to walk you through all of the steps so that you can see them in detail and master them before moving on. Before you start, though, you'll need to shop for your fabric and make decisions about how your gown will be trimmed! Proceed to the next lecture if you're ready to get shopping!
